1. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using CountDracula (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is operated by Hayes McNeill ("we," "us," "the Operator").
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, make a purchase, or otherwise use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. What CountDracula Is
CountDracula is an entertainment and educational application for practicing card-counting skills (the Hi-Lo system) using simulated blackjack hands. The App does not involve real-money gambling. No wager placed within the App can be won, lost, withdrawn, or exchanged for real money, cash, or any item of monetary value.
4. Free to Play
No purchase is necessary to use CountDracula. Every game mode — Manual, Peek/Classic Practice, Quiz Practice, Deck Math, Speed Drill, and the Rules reference — is fully playable without ever spending real money. In-app purchases are entirely optional and exist only to accelerate progress or support the App's development.
5. Blood Drops (Virtual Currency)
"Blood Drops" are a virtual, in-app currency used only within CountDracula.
- Blood Drops have no cash value and are not redeemable, exchangeable, or refundable for real money or any other item of value, under any circumstance.
- Blood Drops cannot be transferred between accounts or cashed out.
- Purchases of Blood Drops ("Blood Vials") are processed by Stripe, Inc. and are final once completed, except where required by applicable law or at our sole discretion.
- We may adjust the pricing, quantities, or availability of Blood Vials at any time.
6. Accounts
Creating an account is optional. If you choose to sign in, you're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Account sign-in exists only to sync your Blood Drops balance across devices and enable purchases — all other features work without an account.
7. Payments
All payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor, and are subject to Stripe's own terms. We do not collect or store your full payment card details.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: attempt to circumvent the App's security or payment systems; use automated means to interact with the App; resell or transfer Blood Drops outside the App; or use the App for any unlawful purpose.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and code within the App, excluding open-source or third-party components, is the property of the Operator. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the App without permission.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any purchase of Blood Drops.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the App, including accounts, at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the Operator's jurisdiction of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
