  1. Every card dealt โ€” yours, the dealer's, or anyone else's โ€” adds its value to the Running Count.
  2. A positive count means more high cards are left in the deck โ€” it favors the player, so bet more.
  3. A negative count means more low cards are left โ€” it favors the house, so bet less.
  4. The True Count divides the running count by decks remaining, since a +4 means a lot more in one deck than in a six-deck shoe. True count is what you actually act on โ€” see the Deck Math tab for practice.
What Each Mode Does
  1. Manual โ€” tap +1/0/-1 yourself while counting an actual physical deck.
  2. Peek Practice โ€” play simulated hands against a dealer with betting, splits, and strategy coaching; hold the peek button to check your count against the app's.
  3. Quiz Practice โ€” the same simulated game, but the count stays hidden and you're randomly quizzed on the running or true count.
  4. Deck Math โ€” a calculator and drill for converting running count to true count.
  5. Speed Drill โ€” a full deck flashes by at speed; keep the count in your head and check it at the end.
  6. Stats โ€” your accuracy, bankroll, and hand-by-hand history across every mode.

High cards โ€” count goes down
  1. Every time a card is dealt (yours, the dealer's, or anyone else's), tap the button below that matches it.
  2. The Running Count is just the sum of every card you've tapped so far.
  3. A positive count means more high cards are still left in the deck โ€” the deck favors the player, so bet more.
  4. A negative count means more low cards are left โ€” the deck favors the house, so bet less.
  5. The True Count divides the running count by the decks remaining, since a +4 count means a lot more in a single deck than in a six-deck shoe. True count is what you actually act on.

Why True Count?
The Running Count alone doesn't tell you much once more than one deck is in play. A running count of +6 means the deck is loaded with high cards if there's only 1 deck left โ€” but it's barely a blip if there are 6 decks left. To compare fairly (and know how much to bet), divide the running count by how many decks remain:
Running Count รท Decks Remaining = True Count

The true count โ€” not the running count โ€” is what tells you when the deck actually favors the player.

Cards flash one at a time from a shuffled deck โ€” keep the running count in your head. One card is secretly held back; at the end you'll be asked for the count of the cards you saw.
